Completely rebuilt in 2007, this bar, which is modelled on the interior of a luxury sailing yacht and designed by the famous JLS designers, its decor is luscious in the interior while creating a friendly and comfortable are for guests to sit and soak in the atmosphere of a buzzing atmosphere, live music every night of the summer and feature regularly during the winter months, in particular every weekend in December, this bar is for all seasons, the bistro which is situated just off the bar is a stylish and bright area, ideal for a family lunch, romantic dining for two or getting together with a group of friends, with its attractive out door area for those balmy days of summer, to dine al fresco.
The all day menu is served 7 days a week from 12noon to 10pm all year round. Sporting events are shown on flat screen TV's .
Situated on the site of original fish market dated 1784, in Kinsale town centre, the hotel is attached to the original boundary wall, which is now undergoing restoration, the old arches are being reinstated in the coming winter months. As far back as 35 years ago, the well known Brian and Anne Cronin, of Kinsale, founding members of The Good Food Circle, owned The Blue Haven Hotel, at that time the hotel was well established and went on to win many hotel and dining awards including `Hotel of the Year`. Even now is recommend by Lucinda O`Sullivan as "One of Ireland's Great Places To Stay". Purchased in 2004 the current owners Ciaran, Cormac Fitzgerald and Denis Quinn began to renovated and remodel the Hotel to its current level, the premises has 17 rooms.
